As a way to offset rapidly rising costs we have added a 3% charge to all checks. You may request to have this removed should you choose.
We chose this 3% route as opposed to across the board menu increases because the math works out much better for our customers. If we did 3% across the board you would also incur 10.25% in sales tax added on top of the 3%, and most folks would tip on that new subtotal. You would be faced with a 13.25% increase plus whatever gratuity percentage you would choose. That potentially raises customer cost by as much as 30.25% as opposed to a flat 3% A lot of thought went into this decision and this is a quick explanation of why we choose 3% added as opposed to an across the board menu price increase.
